Documents needed when applying for E-zone status

• Written request from Customer addressed to Bonaire Ezone Beheer N.V. (the administrator of the E-zone), which verifies the request and its documentation, and forwards it to the “Hoofd Dienst Economische Zaken en Arbeidsaangelegenheden” (Department of Economic Affairs & Labour), 
• Copy of articles of incorporation by Civil Law Notary
• Official documents indicating the names, address, tax identification numbers of all owners, including the ultimate beneficial owners.
• Official name and tax identification number of fund, in case the ultimate owner is quoted on the stock exchange.
• Excerpt from the Commercial Register, stamped and signed by the Chamber of Commerce
• License / permit to establish a business or proof of application hereof
• Statement by local bank indicating that Company has an account (& since when) or proof of application hereof
• Document provided by the Tax Department indicating the inscription at the Tax Department with Company’s tax registration number (CRIB number).
• A “business plan” where the following items are highlighted:
  • what product is being sold and to what  target companies here and abroad;
  • does this include non-accepted products, as indicated in the Regulations for Economic Zones (PB76/104);
  • methods used for approaching clients (Marketing plan or strategy); 
  • methods used to prevent local delivery of products;
  • investments to be made and accompanying structure for financing;
  • a well-founded estimation of the number of employees;
  • a turnover and profit –loss forecast for the first two years and the basic assumptions for this forecast (possibility to calculate / prove should be present); 
  • methods used to include product movements in the accounting system, thus assuring control hereof;
  • methods used to comply with Tax Management Regulations in case of non-duty-free items
  • is the company capable of standing security for the Office for Customs and Excise
• Statement made by Company indicating that the bank administration of the Company can be accessed by authorized civil servants if a request hereto is filed;
• Statement or agreement with a RA or an AA Accountant that Company’s Financial Statements will be prepared in accordance with the “Generally Accepted Accounting Principles”.
• Statement that Company will act in accordance with the Netherlands Antilles Tax Laws including the Import and Excise Duty Act
